That's a reasonable quote Tinman, it shows that you do have to search though. overfinch modified

Even for Kent, that is prob a decent market price. The market is, however, a bit broken. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Hi,

I went with iGo4, £425 fully comp incl' screen, window & key cover, for 2012 4.4 TDV8 for me and Mrs as named driver.

I guess one of the advantages of old age and being in the sticks.

But mine doesn't have keyless entry and I have Ghost fitted.

Andy

I've just been quoted £1500 by Adrian Flux. I will shop around in light of the above.

My current insurer could not quote to change my l322 for a 2020 SV AB D. I looked at the comparison sites and provided l agree to having telematics installed l got a quote for £311. Anyone have telematics installed, speed is the obvious draw back! Laughing I'm 60, retired, full no claims, 3000 miles pa and in semi rural Scotland!

Given what’s happening in the market at the moment, I’ll take this as a win…

NFU were best for me, despite not being a farmer. Sub £700 but limited mileage. They must insure masses of 4x4s.

just had the pain of doing mine, ended up with tesco through gocompare, once onto the tesco site it let me increase the excess and the price tumbled more so took a risk and ramped the excess to the limit, ended up sub £900 for me n the Mrs. Current

@AndyGTS:

Good thinking, but what’s the “Paranoia effect” like of having say, a £10K Excess? Are you afraid to even use the car in the heavy Christmas traffic, lol!? Shocked Whistle Laughing “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

It makes me laugh when they tell us they’ve managed to get inflation down to 4%

My Range Rover’s insurance has gone up 120% in the last 2 years. Where does that fit into the inflation figures??

Consumer price inflation is calculated using a basket of goods and services, summarised here: https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/inflationan...ces/latest

I believe motor insurance is up about 14% year on year. The fact that yours and mine individually is up over 100% is hidden within that number when looking at the market overall. And if the price of bananas or socks come down then that offsets things even further, for example.

I am more alarmed by the price of a pint. One bar in Canary Wharf (not a hotel bar) has broken the £7 barrier! And I paid £13 for hotdog and chips at a nearby fun fair. I can’t wait for Sir Kier to slap 20% on the school fees for good measure. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
