Restricted Performance - Fuel Pressure P0191-17 & P0191-

Could anyone share their idle commanded vs measured fuel pressure on a SDV8 please?

At idle we have the following, which is always a little higher than commanded but I suspect within range.

and with a little stationary rev:

I ask because we have two fault codes that are resulting in a Red Restricted Performance:

P0191- 17 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1 - Circuit voltage above threshold

P0191-85 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1 - Signal above allowable range

We also get the "The Touchscreen has changed and is now displaying the 4x4i – Terrain response/4x4 information." from LTB01083 but none of the other symptoms or fault codes listed. ( https://www.fullfatrr.com/gallery/albums/u...B01083.pdf )

The fault codes seem to point to a bad sensor, and/or cabling, although you'd perhaps expect cabling to send the voltage low rather than high?

If anyone has had these codes before, or replaced the sensor and or cabling and could share symptoms that would be great.

Thanks,

Just as an update, we didn't use the repair kit but did replace the wiring loom portion that the repair kit replaces (LR085463).

Fingers crossed it has not reoccured again since.

No or poor earth for the sensor could cause the signal voltage to be the full supply voltage.

Restricted performance /loss of power / cutting out

Hello,

I am having precisely the same issues you have noted with the same fault codes. Could you please advise if the repair you carried out fixed the problem? I am driving a 2015 RR Sport 4.4 SDV8. We have ordered the same part but of course it's not currently available...

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Richard

Hi Richard,

We sold the car just over a year later, and never had the issue again Thumbs Up

I went for the loom over the repair because I didn’t want to cut any wiring, it was also about 30 seconds to change vs the repair kit.

Thanks,
