Rear window wiper help

Hi there, I'm trying to diagnose a non functioning rear window wiper. The wash isn't working either.
I've pulled the wiring off the motor to check there is power going to the unit and there is. Brown wire being earth and red white 12v live. Now I assume the blue and red wire is switched live from the stalk. There doesn't seem to be any power going to it when the rear wash wipe is activated so am I looking at a broken wire somewhere? I don't want to shell out for a new motor if it's a wiring issue somewhere. Can anyone shed any light?
Thanks

Cheers Phoenix.

Yeah I've pulled the motor out and taken the cover off and it's pretty nasty inside. I'll try giving it all a clean up but it's maybe kaput.

My rear washers just trickle rather than spray like the windscreen ones, is this normal ? RR owner

Having had trouble with my rear wiper this week I was trying to test the washer and found it did not function with the tailgate open. In hindsight, not unreasonable, but did confuse me initially. L405 2018 5.0 S/C

Wiper will stop if you open the tailgate when itโ€™s moving.

The L322 has always suffered with dribbles from the washer at some point. The water feed goes through the motor and any leak or blockage results in the mechanism getting rusty, hardly any water coming out and brown rusty water ending up leaking out behind the headlining.

There is a little in line non return valve that can sometimes get blocked.

Ended up having to fit a new motor when I had the TD6.
