Strange title I know, but was hoping for for some constructive criticism with regards to the advert I just placed in the for sale section for my L405.

I'm rubbish at wording adverts so I'm sure I've missed stuff thats obvious to most folk.
I know I could do with some better pictures, I lost some when iCloud threw a hissy fit.
Should I also put up documents etc, I'll have to block out previous owners details if thats the case.

Anyway, grateful for any feedback.

Looks OK to me. I don't know what the market is like at them moment, but there is enough in the advert.

IMHO you need to be able to see the colours, exterior & interior, the wheels. which trim bits are not body coloured & window tints (or not).

You've listed the extras like steps & tow bar.

I'd think there is enough for anyone serious to make contact.

If it were not on a specialist forum, then maybe more photos showing every angle - and list all the VSE extras like cooled seats, uprated music system etc.

When I´ve sold cars privately before, I´ve always done the following:

Full interior valet.
Full exterior wash.
Take the car away from the house for photos.
A quiet corner of a decent-looking car park for photos - every angle, correct distance etc.
Level ground, especially for FFs...
photograph and book pack and all keys.
Photographs clearly showing the rear parcel shelf & locking wheel nut key.
Highlight any defects, damage and ´fair wear and tear´
Detail what tow bar is fitted.

I did valet all the interior and exterior but this weather doesn't help, so I'll have to keep on top of it. I will try and find somewhere better to retake the photos I lost and to take some extra of book pack etc.
I can't believe I missed so much out, glad I asked for advice and it is much appreciated.

If circumstances were different, I would be keeping her.
I just can't justify keeping both fatties.

I have a soft spot for my L322 AB, and I am probably going to be going to be going up some tracks to hill tops as I am planning to do my HAM licence soon. I figure she will be more suited to mountain goat duties with some coopers or grabbers on. I think the L405 is better suited to mile munching than off roading despite being very capable of road.

I need to take some better pictures as others have mentioned and I'll get onto that tomorrow when the forecast is better.

Seems a shame my post has been buried down here in the basement, I suspect not many will see it now and the general advice from L405 guys was really helpful, hence its placement in the General section.
I get why it was moved though...

We all spot wherever it is on the forum it and the ad looks fine to me and the price fair. I've just bought one and am very happy with it so not in the market. One of the things you could consider is listing anything bad with the beast or even better honestly saying there are no bad things., I got mine home only to find the fridge didn't work and the steps and the towbar (both deployable) were temperamental I don't think it would have stopped me buying but I would rather have been told than finding it out after the event Geoff

I forgot about the fridge, I'll list it.
Luckily I had the sidesteps fixed as they too like yours were iffy on occasion . Had new motors and hinges fitted. I'm told they are fine if they are cleaned and greased up during normal maintenance.

I've just remembered the auto gear select rotary knob has also been replaced, I need to edit the listing it seems
