AFS Headlights Stuck pointing up

Hi Guys,

Just looking for a little help on a stuck drivers side headlamp.

I have the AFS lights, and all seemed fine until the recent fog here where I noticed one was pointing much further up than the other. Long story short I tried adjusting with 6mm Allen key, but it was at the end of its downward travel.

So I looked on here and saw one post by noworries4x4, back in 2017 saying there is a motor for the vertical adjustment and his needed taking apart to unjam it.

I’m happy to do this but my questions are, do I need to take off the front bumper to get light out? (Not the end of the world as I need excuse to change a parking sensor). Then secondly do I have to dismantle headlight to get to the motor, or can I access through the back of the light?

If headlight does need dismantling the best way to do it?

Thanks for the help; she just keeps on giving me things to do!. 2011 Range Rover AB 4.4 TDV8

Try removing the bulb and manually pull the shutter using a small pick... Worth the 10 mins effort Thumbs Up
