DAB options - 2006.

Gents, I've worked my way through all the DAB related posts but can't find a definitive answer. Im curious about the possibility of adding DAB functionality to my 2006 Vogue SE? Has anyone managed to do this so that the factory fitted head unit (MOST) can receive DAB?

It's not the be all and end all but I'm an 80's nipper and love the idea of listening to Absolute 80's Embarassed I've managed to complete a bluetooth upgrade and digital tuner upgrade with the assistance of Wiggs so I'm happy to get my hands dirty, just wondered if anyone out there had managed to accomplish an upgrade and could offer any advice.

Thanks all.

Paul

Hey Scarey!

Do you know if that's a component in the boot or part of the head unit (for some reason I think the latter). If it is a componenet swap out does anyone have an idea which part is it so I can try and find the part number in MicroCat?

Cheers

P

Yeah, so I've been looking at doing this as well. The later units which have DAB also have the later (different bit count) CANbus.

I'll go find the part number in a bit.

EDIT: Found it. This post details the issue - DAB is only available from 10MY onwards and the CAN is different.

Your other option of course....

Use a GVIF interface and a car DAB system with seperate display.... Still be fresh side of £400 notes tho. Used to have:
2005 FFRR 4.4 Vogue - BRC LPG Conversion & Remapped

Now have:
2008 SSRR 3.6 TDV8 - HSE and plenty of toys
