Anti-Rollbar 'D' bushes front & Rear

H all, 2019 L405 Autobiography, 54K miles, just been into main stealer for a 64K service (I know but I didn't pay for the service so had no choice!). The only things that they have picked up as advisories are the following;

'front d bushes have slight play'

'rear d bushes have slight play'

Firstly, what are these 'd' bushes that they are referring to? Are they anti-rollbar bushes?

Are they expensive?
Are they a big job to replace, is it something a DIY'er with limited knowledge and tools could do on the driveway?
If it is the anti-rollbar bushes are there improved versions that people could recommend that I should replace with?

I did not dare ask the main stealer for a quote as I wouldn't give them the satisfaction!

Any guidance greatly appreciated as always.

I’ve just had mine done (2017/62k).

D bushes are the bush surrounding the bar linking it to the car At the end of the bar are what are referred to as “Links” and would be advised to replace at the same time. It’s DIY-able depending on equipment skill time and patience.

There are revised bushes available from JLR, they have a return rim on the edge... Hopefully someone might know the part number?

Part number LR048451.

Dead easy to change on the driveway. 4 bolts, drop the arb, clean, replace bushes and refit. I'd say I had mine done in 30 mins. Kev

I have been quoted some really silly prices; I asked for prices for front & rear bushes and drop links

JLR £432 PARTS ONLY

Local Garage £863 Parts and fitting

So I am really hoping I an do this myself. Obviously the JLR price is for genuine parts but even then I am sure the genuine parts from elsewhere would be cheaper?

For those who have replaced these bushes and maybe also the drop links, did you use genuine parts?
I am getting really confused trying to identify the part numbers I need though. Smile

Which engine do you have?

Do you have the active anti-roll? 2017 (67) Vogue SE Corinthian Grey

I am not entirely sure, I have the 4.4 V8 Diesel and according to my build sheet my suspension includes 'ACE'?

You should also be replacing the nuts & bolts - especially the bolts as they are torque+angle so will have stretched (intentionally) Meyle bushes part number 53-14 615 0013 were £36 for a pair when I did mine recently.
DON'T use air or battery tools to release the torque on the bolts, they are direct into the Aluminium frame and could potentially damage the threads if not removed 'sympathetically' The bolts & nuts (front only) were about £30 from Duckworths.

That is very useful as nobody I have spoken to so far has mentioned nuts and bolts, are these nuts and bolts for the anti-rollbar bush brackets or for the drop-links?
