I have been wondering this myself, there is some pretty compelling evidence that the Provent filters work wonders. |

They seem to. I’ve had one on my old 110 with a Isuzu 3.9 4BD1 (factory fitted 82-90 civy and up to 96 for Aust Army). I vented to the atmosphere after the provent, and there was no visible oil vapour.

The guys over on Defender2 seem to love them, there is also a interesting video here about why you shouldn't remove EGR

Yeah I think I'll order a new ccv thing just so I know it's a new one.

Well, the new membrane arrived and is in place. It was a right pain in the bum to get the PCV valve out but went back in without much hassle.

Update: No more oil drips from the engine after changing the membrane in the PCV or CCV valve/oil separator !
