Admiral Insurance.

So I have just done a deal with Admiral for my Overfinch RR. The quote for Gold cover was just about £1000 but I added my wife's Yeti and then my home insurance all starting at different times and all ending next December when the Range Rovers policy expires.
Total cost for the RR went down to £703 and all rounded up total until next December £981.
So very happy and hope this way might help other members.
£500/£750 excess, 5k miles. overfinch modified

England 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

We've had Admiral multi car with three cars and the house for years and always found them competitive, however this year they wanted £2,600 and would only budge a couple of hundred on calling them, they wanted £1991.00 for the fatty alone...

We got the lot with "known" providers (also better cover and less excess) for a total of just over £900

It does seem to be horses for courses just try them all.....!!! Pete

As above I'd been with them for ages but this years quote shot up and they refused to negotiate so went elsewhere - their loss and my £700 saved. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Been with admiral multicar a few years and pleased with it i have 3 cars with them including a Defender and one with my 18year old son on as a driver plus the house. I couldn’t find anywhere else to match the package, they wouldn’t insure the l460 though. MY23 PHEV HSE

I have used Admiral for years but they suddenly were not interested even in my multiyear policy despite no claims ever. Currently with Hastings and they beat all the comparison sites for renewal by a few hundred pounds. No idea how they focus their deals but key is to get your quotes at least 14 days before renewal. Tom

I have 3 cars and my house insured with Admiral. Very competitive and a good service (although never had to claim).

Who have you guys gone with?

Mine is due mid December and other than the comparison sites I'm struggling to budge from £900,
I've started shopping round the ones that claim not to be on comparison sites but I'm getting bored of filling out the online forms to finally click on the get quotation button and be told they won't insure my car Censored Current

Myself, partner, son and son in law were customers of Admiral Multicar for approx 6 years insuring between 6 and 7 cars at any one time. I hate to think how much we spent with Admiral but it was £3.5k most years.

My son, who had full protected no claims at the time (and none of us ever claimed for anything from Admiral) had an accident in a Mercedes E63 shortly after purchasing. It was his dream car and he paid £29500 from a main dealer for a low mileage, immaculate and very well optioned car.

He was dealt with dreadfully throughout and they wrote off the car despite it only needing a bumper, grill, bonnet re-spray for blending purposes and some sundry items behind the bumper. No headlights, radiators or suspension/chassis damage. Despite appealing they would not change the decision to write off.

They paid him £21000 which was an absolute joke. The dealer principal even wrote him a letter confirming a car with that mileage and spec would not be available from a dealer for less.

My son is still paying the gap (1st time he hadn’t purchased gap insurance) and I cancelled all policy’s with Admiral and have sworn to never touch again.

I have over 35 years no claims and my partner has 25 and hope to never need to claim on insurance. HOWEVER, if we ever did need to claim I wouldn’t want to be an Admiral customer and it’s worth considering how a company deals with a claim should the need ever arise as part of the decision making. Nowadays cost is a major consideration but it’s not just cost! 2012 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Santorini black ivory leather

That sounds a rubbish experience, as above we have the house and cars with them I haven't had a car claim but we have been burgled 3 times and they bent over backwards each time I was really impressed. Obviously different parts of the business. MY23 PHEV HSE
