L322 Sill Repair Panels

I was looking at these as a potential product.

There's one guy who occasionally sells them in pairs online, at over £200 a pair. I can't find anyone else that makes them.

Assuming they were considerably cheaper, what do we feel the demand might be? Does the L322 rust very often there?

I added a poll for fun. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black

ALL L322's rust there unless the owner has done some preventative work

I would imagine there would be a good take up, the rear arches seem to sell well... Thumbs Up Pete

I've decided to do these. I'm working on them now. It'll take a while before they are ready but I am on with them. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black

Sorry I missed your earlier message PC. No. The pressing moulds are very expensive to do as there are many curves and undulations. But they are in progress. Then they have to be shipped.

I'd anticipate stock in late February or more likely March. I anticipate they will be around £100 per side inc jacking point.

I expect to have a sample by late January, and I'll need someone to test one to be sure they are a decent fit if there is a volunteer for a free one? 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black

PM sent back to you Stuart with my details, all the best and happy new year Smile

NB I know this will make a lot of L322 owners very happy to get these sills at a good price FINALLY, and your sills will really complement nicely with the rear wheel arches now available from Car Panels in Doncaster

Stuart, As others have commented, most L322s will need these at a point in their life. I think there will definitely be demand for them from members.

I have samples in, jacking point and offside at the moment.

Pcourtney is going to test the fit before I press the button for the quantity, but I don't anticipate any issues here.

Would you chaps recommend selling them as a pair, panel and jacking point, or individually?

Here's a couple of shots.

My welder / bodywork guru chap that I always use, he normally does both sides at the same time on all Range Rovers and Land Rovers that he works on, because both sides really need doing, although the passenger side does seem to rot and rust the most ( for UK drivers on the left hand side of the road) due to the potholes, salt and spray along the kerbs etc, but both my sides really need doing as it will surely fail the MOT sooner rather than later on my 2004 car !
