Transmission Overheating - Slow Down. But I’m hardly movin | |
Unexpected glitch today, and I’m wondering just how much I should worry.
I crawled in slow traffic virtually all the way from central London to Battersea (about 5 miles/ 40mins). Then as I was inching forward towards another set of perma-red lights, I had a bong plus the message in the thread title. I couldn’t really have slowed down without stopping, and having to get somewhere by a specific time, I carried on.
The message was gone in a couple of seconds. The car drove completely normally after the message, and the message didn’t re-appear. When I got to my destination, there was a slightly unfamiliar smell from the front end of the car. A kind of hot smell, but maybe that was me feeding my preconceptions. The car started fine after that and is still behaving.
