24 year old Fiat Hymer and a 14 year old Audi A3

I had decided the time was to sell the Ranger Rover.

Gave it a good outside wash today to get the 3 months of green and grime off.

Took it out for a short drive and .............. what a Joy.

I had forgotten how smooth, quiet, luxurious, grand, gracious, you know the script.

Its staying for now.

Yes, they are expensive to run and I too despise the road tax.

But if I consider the bigger picture of running costs versus leasing or buying a mundane mainstream car, nothing to worry about I guess.

Ah! The age-old question, -and I don’t want to raise the equally age-old discussion vs other marques yet once more, so please don’t bite:

What other car can truly replace a FFRR, other than another FFRR (whatever model), despite all the weaknesses & woes?

Let’s face it, we are all suckers for a nice FFRR………  “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

There are other cars? Really….
