A nice add-on here for a well-sorted L405 should do the job! overfinch modified |

I have Aljo, moved half a ton of plastic in the back and it was a tad better with the weight in the back. |

The thing is, is that they *are* still a good ride compared with a lot of normal cars, so it was probably did feel good to your family member.

When mine came down off a 4 post lift yesterday it was noticeably less 'crashy' over road bumps at slow speeds. Something internal happening to the shocks when they are fully extended for a while? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I had a new compressor, valve blocks, shocks and tires and have been chasing the same issue as you. Horrible ride after all of this. I cannot figure it out and it is driving me mad! Perhaps there is a common calibration file causing this? |

Had an adaptive dynamics error code from a front suspension height sensor which would pop up intermittently. Bought a new one but when I came to replace it noticed the plug was not properly seated so after blasting it out with wd40 and pushing it in and out a few times I got it to lock properly and have not had another fault code since. Also noticed the ride is less crashy and softer at low speeds. Wonder if any resistance in the sensor circuit is enough effect the signal but not enough to throw a fault code? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Plausible … I believe the damping rate is in part changed in response to how fast the rate of change is in the suspension moving. If the sensor arms were sticking / stiff and their movement had stiction and was stuttering, then that would pulse fast rates of change … which might affect the damping rate applied. V8 or else ... |

I was refering to electrical resistance due to a poor contact in the plug and not mechanical resistance although the latter is possible. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

The lack of harshness has continued on mine. So much so I'm thinking it may be a bit soft at speed and an indicator the shocks are showing their age which is unsuprising at 165k miles . 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

MariannaWestminster Hi I’m new to the group but joined to get some help on ride quality on my (new to me) 19MY 2020 Vogue SDV6 at 23000 miles. I’ve just part exchanged exactly the same car as a 17 MY on 22” wheels which had an excellent ride. Smooth as silk. The newer 2020 car on 21s is exactly as you describe yours with a jiggliness through the body especially at speeds above 50mph. I had the rear wheels balanced and they were very very slightly out but it made no difference. The wheels are all in perfect condition. Tyres are continentals which I don’t particularly like and the fronts are down to about 4mm. Steering is perfect. Have you got any further with correcting your issues? |
