England 2002 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black
Folding mirror problem :(

Just picked my TD6 Vogue up from the garage after being repaired - insurance job thanks to the council (see my other posts) and they have done a fantastic job ! Must have cost apprx £5k easily Shocked
Only problem was after starting got the dreaded 'transmission failsafe' message on but this turned out to be low battery voltage after being stood for 3 weeks. Very Happy
Whilst driving I noticed the passenger mirror move and thought it was just 'resetting' due to power being off/low.Drove back about 50mph and all ok.However when cleaning the car after I got home I found the mirror very loose - so powered both mirrors in and then out but still the same Crying or Very sad Checked 4 x torx screws in the bottom of the mirror housing and these are nice and tight which means someone has physically pushed the mirror in bcausing something to break ! I would say if I went 70+mph it would totally fold in Sad
I have phoned the garage twice and am awaiting their return call Whistle rest assured I will not let this drop !
How much is a electric folding chromatic (auto dimming) passenger mirror with puddle lighting ? And after seeing the YouTube video of changing/removing the mirror it isn't going to be a fit whilst you wait repair Sad Its a 60 mile round journey to the garage !
I feel sorry for them having to repair this after some 'twonk' broke it seeing as they did a fantastic job on the rest of the vehicle - I just hope it won't take their profit Neutral

Its not to big of a job, but is fairly expensive. I've got to change my passenger side one later because its loose and is not the screws. I've jammed some rubber in the gap for now so it isn't loose, but even second hand they seem to be fairly pricey. Reformed
