Honeymoon Over Need Help!!

Good Morning All, I hope you can please help!!

After two weeks of perfect working my 09 L322 Diesel has gone into limp mode twice.

Showing FMA 8 88.1 on the dash. After restoring all seems well, but there is that doubt there.

Having bought a Nanocom as a group buy on the defender forum I thought no problem. I'll add the FFRR to the Fault reader, only to find that Nanocom support the 2010 L322 onwards but not the 2009!!

2 Questions?

Any Ideas what FMA 8 88.1 Means?

Any suggestion for a budget OBD Reader?

I won't even ask why the CD changer gives "Invalid CD" on every CD I try!!

Cheers West Yorkshire Lofty (Ex Pat living in Scotland now)!!

Mr. Green

The essential code reader for these cars is the GAP IID tool. It may not at first seem like a 'budget' code reader but it will save you money as it does what cheap OBD readers can't 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

JayGee, thanks for the info, looks like BAS will be getting some business from me!

I had two Allisport intercoolers rupture at 15k each on my Defender, replaced with BAS one and that was 30k ago.

Cheers WYL

You won't regret investing in a GAP IID tool and they sell used for not much less than new ones. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Re: Honeymoon Over Need Help!!

I'll hazard a guess that FMA 8 88.1 means FM waveband stored stations 'A', stored location '8', stored frequency 88.1 = Radio 2. 2012 (L322) 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE, RSE, Fuji White over Arabica.
