I can’t imagine it needs coding to the car, but perhaps someone more knowledgeable than me like Phoenix can advise. Still not a cheap fix at £75-£100 used, so I’d wait for a bit more feedback here before you commit to it, there may be other advice, I’m no expert on this subject, just trying to help. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that? |

It should just connect & work - it's just an interface / media converter.

Thanks - I can see a new one for sale on ebay but I am a little unsure on how easy it is to remove the old one and replace with the new one - the unit feels like it would just pull out but I am assuming there is going to more to it than that.

It does just clip in - but - the harness doesn't have any slack in it to allow full access to the connectors, so you need to remove a few bits, about 20 mins from memory but it's been a few years since I changed one.

Hi Damian, this is what I had seen before, not identical but may give you some insight:

Hi - sorry for being stupid but what did you mean by this? have a look under body & paint for 'Floor console upper section R&I' that will get you access to the connectors. |

Funny echo in here today, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that? |
