Looking to buy my first L405

Hi all. Newbie here. Looking to buy my first L405 (previously had the sport). I’ve found a 2014 SE with full LRSH and 1 previous owner within my budget and it looks in really good nick. My taste also. It’s a 3.0 TDV6 - are these engines less reliable than the SDV8 at all?

Any other guidance would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Good luck, looks very swish Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I don't know a lot about diesels, but from what I see on here servicing and oil changes are critical on the 3.0.

Obvious stuff to watch for is the front knuckles (possible recall on 2014, check topix) and sunroof drain points.

Good luck and give it a good drive Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Thanks all! Car was in good condition and looks brilliant in the flesh. Can I ask for your opinion, please? It says it has full LR service history but there were a few years where there is no service (2020, 2021 and 2022). It has had a 2023 service in July just gone.

Please see photo attached of the service history. When I asked the dealer why these years were missing, he said it was due to a service not being needed because of mileage. In other words, a service is due based on time or mileage (whichever comes first).

Is this correct or am I being taken for a ride?

Many thanks again for the help thus far!

services are done on mileage or yearly , which ever comes first..

if you have the vin number then you can go online and double check the history.. ... - .- -.

I can't see the photo. But three years with missing service is not a full-service history. overfinch modified

https://osh.landrover.com

That's nearly 20k miles without a service or at least an oil and filter change.

Deal hard that car has been advertised since December 22 also check on car vertical. overfinch modified
