More progress on this, turns out the SIM card car on the unit only works in china!

We do however have the prototype trim to lower the screen 15mm and it’s so much better.
Some obstacles to overcome but will sort that.

You can see in the last picture the holes in the back plate need moving as the legs on the screen are long and needs clearance.
Easy enough and have to take it apart again to install a sim router in the dash.

at least you now have the choice of obscuring the vents or the top of the climate screen...

from my setup i found i still had plenty of air from the top vents..  ... - .- -.
