Retrofit an OEM reversing camera to a touch screen?

Hi all, I have searched but only come up with the pre touch screen info.

How easy is it to retrofit the Land Rover reversing camera to a 2005 FFRR with touch screen system?

I sourced a used rear spoiler with the Land Rover camera built in but need to know if it is a case of ordering a cable from the dealer to plug it into the MOST system in the boot, or a nightmare of having to get into rewiring the whole car.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Tom

tom, i asked a very well informed member whether this is possible and was told that the screen has three connectors, one for tv ,one for the venture cam and one for the reverse camera..so it is possible to connect a reverse camera and use the reversing lights to supply power but the stumbling block is changing the CCF to enable the input. enabling the CCF apparently , is not a dealer option but can be done with a faultmate or maybe autologic...

Interesting, thanks for the info, I will have to do some more digging around about configuring the CCF, don't think I am up for shelling out £1k for the equipment... I might contact BBS Spy has he seemed to be working on the configuration with the Blackbox.

You do need to switch on the camera in the ccf ...i have range rover software running on my nav screen in the discovery 3 and the camera is fully automatic ( when in reverse ) once enabled Thumbs Up

as said also ..it just needs the coax cable running to the screen and plugging in the connector

Awesome news, does anyone know the best way to get it programmed without having to buy the coding equipment. I am happy to pay for the service. Tom

If it helps, see http://www.disco3.co.uk/shop/index.php?act...oductId=34 for cables to fit the SMB sockets on the nav screen Smile

Any one know if they are the same SMB's as used by Nokia? If so I have some right angled ones and coax to suit and can make some leads up for postage costs and forum donation.
