Have been told to get these as replacement H7 halogen bulbs, other options I should look at ?

Two things;
1) I thought all 2011 FFRR's were xenon in main and dipped?
2) I've used many uprated bulbs over the years and generally find the latest, highest percentage extra OSRAM Nightbreaker option to be the longest lasting. Phillips bulbs are decent, but I never found the life of their uprated ones to match the OSRAM's. 55W is the 'standard'. These uprated bulbs are generally using different coatings, filaments and gas to maximise output for the same standard current draw. FWIW I run 100W bulbs in the Hella spots on the Impreza and they're only a tiny bit brighter than the 200% uprated 55W ones. With that though you need to have sufficient wiring to cope, I wouldn't run them in standard light units.

Dipped should be xeon's on that MY. I replaced the H7 main beam with LED's and they are significantly brighter ( turns an unlit country lane into daylight). All the dipped beam replacement bulbs seem to do is create a more concentrated patern which doesn't have any more total light output 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Just looked in the User Manual and yes Low and High Beam are Xenon D3S - so not Halogen after all, blimey they are a few quid as well, £45 each

The main beam “spots” are halogen. You can change those, but main headlight is xenon as mentioned above.
