Delivery Date 550e

I ordered my 510e AB in Jan’22.

It was changed to a 550e AB a few months ago when they changed the spec and yesterday I had a call from dealer with a delivery date of 29/12/2023. In reality the first week of 2024.

I can hardly believe it.

Same here - ordered a P510e AB in beg of March 2022, moved to a P550e AB in July - Build day is actually today 15th of Sept Very Happy !

We're flying to UK on Sunday, will have a VIP Factory Tour at Solihull on Monday, main purpose to watch our vehicle on the production line. But Range Rover Studio at Solihull called yesterday telling that we might not be able to see our vehicle on Monday after all due to missing parts from suppliers, and that the car therefore might be set aside during the production Neutral . Cross our fingers that we'll be able to see it - still looking forward to the Factory tour, though!

Did the VIP Tour last June and it is so much fun to see a role of steel turn into a Range Rover. Very impressive as every 90 seconds a new one pops out of the line. RR's that are part of my car timeline since I bought my first RR Classic in 1999:

Just came from the VIP Factory tour today. Amazing - really service oriented staff at the Range Rover Studio at Solihull! We managed to see - and picture - our long awaited P550e AB coming to life on the production line! A great experience - highly recommended Very Happy

Hi Eirik, any chance you would post the factory picture you took of your newborn on the production line? I recall many no-camera signs Wink. RR's that are part of my car timeline since I bought my first RR Classic in 1999:

You can get specific exemption if you’re on a VIP tour. However, you aren’t allowed to post.

Is there any pattern or relation to order date and delivery date. I ordered Jan 22 P550e and I have been told early Dec for delivery, some people ordered after me and they are getting theirs sooner. I was told as I had ordered AB I would wait longer but another told me if you order SV you get it quicker as the margin for JLR is a lot higher. Is the dealer deciding who gets what when or is it the factory?

The dealers ‘don’t seem to have any control on what is produced. The factory builds cars in order according to when your order was placed as long as they have the parts. As JLR seems to be completely incompetent at managing a manufacturing business they constantly have constraints on various parts. Therefore if your order has a part they don’t have then it slips. I also think that what parts are available get prioritised to SVs because they are much higher margin. As I found with mine, if your order is for an AB with lots of boxes ticked it is much more likely to be delayed than any other. SVs or base spec SEs/HSEs are likely to come quicker. Add to the mix an engine spec that is hybrid or V8 and I think it makes the wait even longer.

Teeleh, it was the Guide that took the pictures using our iPhones - after he had got an exemption from his manager for taking picture of us with the vehicle in the background ("vehicle"= body - at the prod. line #6, without doors and drivetrain mounted yet). I don't think that I'm allowed to share these pictures publicly. Still an amazing tour in the huge production facilities at Solihull! And we got the build sheet for our vehicle printed out - cool!

My P510e was ordered May 22 and my dealer has still no production date. Confused
Congratulations for the “early” production date to @Eisbärhöhle!

@Renaco

But you got a new contract for P550e in the meantime … isn‘t it?

If not … you need to contact dealer!
