[Found] 4.4 TDV8 Intake Connector Temp Sensor

** Edit *** Big thanks to forum member DrRob, I now have a replacement intake & temp. sensor Thumbs Up

I managed to damage the temp sensor located in the air intake connector Big Cry

I thought I’d sorted it by sourcing what I thought was an equivalent temp sensor and although it looks identical and fits perfectly, the viscous fan is running pretty much constantly since and I think keeping the engine too cool for DPF regens. to occur. I’m concluding the sensor is perhaps calibrated differently and sending false temp readings.

Probably a long shot but before I stump up for a new intake connector which includes the sensor, if anyone has one they’ve removed and no longer need with a temp sensor fitted (doesn’t matter if the intake connector itself is damaged, I only want the sensor) I’d be very happy to buy it Thumbs Up

Thanks!

I might have my old intake hose. Is it part of that? Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Thanks DrRob, it’s the grey sensor in the hard plastic part of the air intake -

With thanks to fellow forum member DrRob I now have a replacement intake complete with temp. sensor.

Now fitted and will closely monitor DPF regens. over the next few weeks - hoping the identical looking but possibly dodgy Chinese temp. sensor I had fitted was the source of the issue Whistle

Rob, a pleasure to meet you and once again, a big thank you for helping me out, I hope you enjoy the Rioja Thumbs Up Jonathan
