United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Sumatra Black
Cross Articulation Fault

Hi, had my late 2011 L322 about 3 weeks. Took it from NE England down to LRO towing the caravan and it was fantastic.

Ever since I bought it, it was riding noticeably lower on the rear drivers side. I tried a calibration using my iCarsoft Pro, but it wouldn't have it.

I replaced the height sensor and that appeared to solve the ride height issue, but then the Ride Level Control Module had a hissy fit. I cleared all the codes, but as soon as I went above 30mph, the cross articulation fault would dump all the air.

Pulled up live data on a graph for heights on all four corners. Three were OK (i.e very similar readings and flatline), but the front left was spiking every few seconds with the car stood still. I replaced this sensor and all now seems good after an extended test drive over country roads.

I need to do a calibration as the left side is a little lower than the right, but it is a lot better than before and I'm not getting any more faults.

Just thought this may be helpful to someone - the live data on a scan tool is invaluable in situation like this as there were no codes for the left front height sensor.

I had similar issues with ride height sensors, they took a while to sort out. After I did a calibration using GAP IID myself, I had the suspension professionally aligned with Hunter 4x4 alignment rig. ( Recommend GlenRands for this for any one in the South & South East ).

The ride following the Hunter alignment was just superb, I couldn’t believe the difference it made. I’d highly recommend you seek out a specialist with the latest Hunter alignment rig and get that done if budget allows. TDV8 4.4 2012
