Hi been to have quick look at friends rr3.6 and AA said it was the starter failed but it came up low power before
And stopped
I've removed and air box and found oil in there and filter black and also removed air intake pipe and no oil there
But the engine won't crank or start
Wots the chances or engine failed
Or blown turbos
I'm am going to go back and jack it up and see if I can spin the engine by hand

When starting it, do you get a clunk from the starter?

Tbh, if there's oil in the air box I'd not want to try starting it again so turning it by hand is probably your better option.

If there's oil in the air box it's likely a good sign that the turbo has failed and filled a cylinder with oil. I've read that leaving it parked will allow it to drain eventually but I don't know if this is true or not.

Hi thanks for the reply hopefully get jacked up next week as the sup has gone down and see if I can crank it over by hand , it's parked at the garage for a while so don't think the oil drained down if it the turbo
