LR8 Branded Driveshaft .... info required

Hi,

I'm looking to replace my front driveshafts and have searched the usual places. AF have them made by 'LR8'. Has anyone fitted this brand or know anything about them ?

I'm also looking for aftermarket recommendations too ...

Thanks, Gavin

Have a look on the Land Rover Classic Parts website, grab the part numbers and have a look on eBay. When I was pondering the idea of buying them there were genuine LR shafts being sold off as new old stock.

Hi David - yes, been on there and got the numbers (IED500120 Left Hand & IED500110 Right Hand) and ran them through the usual suppliers and eBay... one GKN left hand one on eBay (Genuine LR part) for £600 as opposed to £844 off the Classic site... Big Cry

Brand 'LR8' is puzzling me though .. I've never heard of them... Gavin

Could LR8 be a reference to Lobro who are the German division of GKN? Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Sure - I went with Site Sponsor Advanced Factors -
https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/ied50011...0810-p.asp

It fitted the hub well after cleaning up the hub splines and went into the Diff ok. Gavin
