2003 Range Rover SE 4.4 V8 Tangiers Orange

Wanted - 2003 4.4 Petrol Engine for RR

The above engine has gone, bottom half of the engine has become porous after coolant leaking, not sure why it hadn't been noticed before by Land Rover or 4x4 dealer where I had some work done though !!
£8.5k for a decent engone and a 3 year warranty, £3k for a reconditioned one and 1 year warranty..........OUCH

Any sensible suggestions please ???

im sure an engine from an accident damaged car will be cheaper onto no6 Range Rover

plenty of BM's around with a 4.4. There was a similar thread on RR.Net a couple of years ago ish- about replacing a blown engine with one from a broken BM
