Headlight alignment.

I think that my headlights are too high. I’ve learned about the adjuster. Is there one on each side ?

How do I determine the correct height for my dipped beam please. 2013 SDV8 4.4 SE Luxor.

I think Stan can help here, there are adjusters both sides, Stan posted on this a while back with a pic but I can’t find it Embarassed
Be aware if you dip the beams too much, you may be disappointed in how far you can see with regular bulbs, L405 lights are not the best, maybe time for an upgrade? Twisted Evil “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Thanks for that.
What does an upgrade provide, is it easy to fit. 2013 SDV8 4.4 SE Luxor.

@GrandadRob:

Search “D3S” on here (hint: it’s not a Citroen Rolling with laughter ) and also Google it, there’s a plethora of stuff to read!

Fortunately, on the TDV6 it’s a relatively easy 30-minute job, since the rear of one headlamp has free access (drivers side) and the other just needs the airbox and hoses loosened and moved out of the way to make some space to get your hand in, it’s just a screwdriver job, really.
I went for the Osram Nightbreaker uprated HID bulbs, which have recently been further enhanced.
Now of course, there are also high-output LED bulbs, but you need to read up on the pros & cons before deciding. Lots of spurious claims about millions of lumens from equally spurious sellers, caveat emptor!

Good time to do it, the nights are cutting in fast! Thumbs Up “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

I downloaded the workshop manual - thanks for the tip. But I must say the information on adjusting the headlights is fantastically scant. It doesn't mention which hex screw is for up/down or what size it is. However, I think I have worked this out from watching Youtube.
