Four wheel alignment isn't possible?

Gents interesting one changed rear lower and upper arms bags and shocks and control arms when I went to have four wheel alignment done could get all ok apart from toe in both sides and couldn't centralise thrust all are just a very small amount out but could not get all boxes green camber castor all good
The control arm adjuster wouldn't go far enough got nearly there then drifted out again both sides the same
Any ideas?

Had the same after changing all the rear components. My right side is 'Just' out of spec but the tyre is looking OK. I think the replacement track control arms are slightly too long to bring it into alignment. Or was it too short? Can't remember now.

What I am going to do as it is on the ramp at the moment as I am doing the rear subframe bushes is slacken everything off put it back in tight tolerance and redo everything after the new subframe bushes are in and see where we go

If it was 'drifting' in & out of tolerance, it points to another component with wear (bushes or hub ball joints). If it was the toe control arm that was too long, then it would be out of tolerance but repeatedly so. The measuring surface also needs to have a floating rear wheel plate to prevent side loading on the tyre sidewall causing issues. Check that the eccentric washers have not been left too loose and jumped over or worn away at the location lugs on the subframe.
Subframe bushes probably won't be the cause of incorrect or drifting toe measurements as the toe is relative to the subframe, if the bushes were worn enough then you'd find one side would go +ve and the other would go equally -ve as the subframe moved: It would be possible to adjust the toe on both sides well within spec but move the subframe to cause -/+ offset to either side, as you state that you can't get the adjustment within spec, that would point to upper or lower arm bushes or hub ball joints as the cause.

Hi David genuine parts were used and thanks for the info Phoenix its interesting it was both sides and all the bushes have been replaced about 4 weeks ago I did the upper and lower arms , hub bushes, wheel bearing all new brakes and new airbags and shocks but interesting about the eccentric washers on the subframe will check that
