sounds likely ...most of the ecu's do 'talk' to each other so maybe thats why you are getting the errors..

have you tried dis-connecting the battery to see if the ecu's settle down...

wait 10 minutes before disconnecting the battery [key out of ignition]
wait 20 minutes before re-connecting
when battery re-connected , turn steering wheel fully to the left and the fully to the right.

One more small point; what state is the battery in?

If it's a bit leggy then that could also cause plenty of problems.

your problems could relate to a dodgy or underpowered battery...you should have a 110amphr ,920 crank, battery on the td6..

A lot of short trips may not charge the battery sufficiently, considering that the compressor just ran..etc....if you keep the headlights set to auto turn on, and they illuminate as you start the vehicle, that could cause the available vols/amps to be lower than the required minimum amount needed, to initially get the systems booted up properly. And if you left the climate control on........the battery will be powering the fan to. Lets not forget that the steering wheel tilt is probably adjusting at the same time too. So........make sure everything is off before attempting to start, turn key to position one until the steering wheel is done adjusting, then finally start her up. If you want to be really cautious..........wait for the logo splash screen to turn off. By that time power has gone through the entire system loop. 2006 RR 4.4 HSE
