Help me sleep tonight...

I'm feeling sick at the thought I may have bought a stolen car. I read today in the owners manual that the vin code is on a plate RIVETED to suspension tower. All mine has is a black sticker in that position with the vin number on. Also the number at the bottom of the screen looks under inspection to be a sticker not a stamped plate. Please no wise comments, as this is bad enough..

Does everyone else have riveted on plates (near the washer filler neck) or black stickers.

OK, should the one in the screen be stamped, or is that also a sticker? What about the one on the opposite suspension turret?

Sorry if I'm paranoid, but I've been heavily stung before. I'd be grateful if my mind can be put to rest.. I can't afford to lose again.
