P400e electric range on the blink.

Since the battery heater has been replaced in spring, I had a fairly constant range of 46-50km electric.

The last few times this seems to crash. After it hit "50" once, full charge / 100% since gave 47 /44 /41 /36 and now 41 km electric range at 100% full. Weather is quite contstant, rainy and 23 C.

Did some long stretches, and lately very short trips leaving eg 32km range and then charging to full.

Anybody experienced this too ? Is the battery breaking up ? I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

IF the battery is a problem then get it changed as from memory the battery warranty is 6 years and a small fortune to replace

Thanks, I know. It has warranty on the battery until 2027 or 100k miles..
Until 2020 the guarantee was 8 years or 100k miles.

For the moment I first try to figure out what is at hand..

What I could find online (there is next to nothing on the subject) ;

What would be the result with this error code : “ Hybrid System and A/C Temporarily Unavailable “.

“..This means that the vehicle cannot be driven, because the hybrid battery does not supply
voltage to the main 12v battery or to the auxiliary 12v battery that manages the CAN BUS.
The main 12v battery, not having stability in the voltage supplied by the hybrid battery,
drops its voltage to 9 volts in five minutes. This main 12v battery acts as a starter,
for this reason the vehicle cannot be started...”

Now I hook it up with a maintenance CTEK charger all the time, since the car stands around for a week
or more until the next trip.

I wonder if the above also works the other way around: if the 12V battery is kept at 14.4V by the
CTEK charger, does the hybrid charger think the hybrid battery must be full...

Tomorrow I'll drive it again. On return I'll NOT hook up the CTEK, and see if it charges to 50km range or not...

I'll update this post when I know more. I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

UPDATE.

Since I stopped using my trickle charger for the 12V battery, the traction
battery started to get 'full-up' again with > 48km range at "100%".

I assume that the way the charging is arranged, that first the traction is
charged, and finally the 12V. So if you connect a charger to the 12V as
well as charging the traction, the 'control value' goes to 'max' before
the battery is really full. It then says '100%' , which appears to be a
virtual value then ! I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black
