I was attacked by an ivy bush in the recent windy weather as I made my way home on the A30 the other day. They just fall out of the hedgerow when you least expect it!

Most surface scratch's can be removed by hand. You probably need a compound to remove the deep scratch's. Meguiars do compounds that break down and give a mirror finish. Have a look at their website. They also do a system for polishing by hand. If not you could also wetland but would need a machine polisher to finish off. |

As above, the fingernail test is the best way to determine scratch depth.

Thanks everyone, the scratches are visual only, no perceptible depth, but I'll give the Meguiars a go... .

I've seen guys in bodyshops use 1500 grade wet and dry with soapy warm water.
