Wonder how much it will cost to reinstate the DPF when the new tests come in?

I'm tempted by a remap alone to give it a bit more poke but concerns still around 8HP.

It will fail an MOT just on the visible amount of smoke when revved or at least indicate to the tester that something is in need of further investigation. Removing the CAT and DPF will help top end power as this is where exhaust flow is the greatest but during normal driving / cruise where the gasflow is low the restriction is insignificant. Any mpg gains on the dash readout with a remap are likley due to the increase in fuel pressure used in the remap which fools the ecu mpg calculations based on inj duration vs distance. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I mean if needs be and it's a simple enough flash via the gap app.

Can we not flash a version that disables the EGR and then for MOT return it in place.

For me am looking purely to disabling the EGR(and ofc extra power/torque never hurts), to clean up the intake for good. Its actually a sport Sad

Not anymore, 4.4 TDV8 now Very Happy

Gap couldn't flash the 4.4 late last year.

i guess if it needs to be bench flashed its a bit more annoying but it is really that hard if your this dedicated to fiddling around. Its actually a sport Sad

another thought on this remap malarky.

Does Sport mode have by any chance a different set of Maps it uses?

Because what would be completely handy is the default map being on Drive, and the 370bhp and 800nm map being the Sport mode.

In this style of map, EGR would be disabled across the board.

Or does Sport really only just hold the revs a bit longer. Its actually a sport Sad

Sport is just a gearbox program which hold the gears longer and has engine braking rather than overun when off the throttle. GAP can't do remaps for the 4.4 on or off the car. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
