thanks everyone, it looks as if Teutonic is the way to go.

I'm not really fussed about a manoeuvring a twin axle, my first race caravan was a twin axle spotter of a thing and we handballed it around OK and there shouldn't be much of that. I shall start looking and see home much interest Mrs S retains. First time FFRR owner

I would also look for one with Alde heating. Much superior to blown air.

Adria every time now on for me. Ive had Lunars and Baileys previously but none have compared with the Adria in terms of build quality and practical, workable layouts.

And they make 'em with the door on the UK side. RR owner

Hi,

as said Damp can be an expensive thing to cure, we have had a few vans and friends with many others and there seems no good or bad makes just good or bad vans depending how unlucky you are Shocked

Bit like land rovers in that respect Exclamation

friends 6 month old Bailey had damp, we have had our Bailey 12 years now, still liked our Buccaneer as the best put together van but it was too small as a 2 berth with 2 of us and 2 dogs.

that in mind work on changing the van 2 or 3 times before you get the layout that suits you the best
(or rent as mentioned)
as what you think is a good layout when you live with it might not work as well as you think, you have to compromise somewhere Laughing

If you can pick up all the extras from someone packing up you can save a bit as the bits all add up if buying new, elec lead, step, waste, clean water butt, fluids, battery, gas cylinders, gin, wine, beer
Not all of the above are needed mind Whistle Thumbs Up
