Sat Nav Volume

After reading the manual and previously posting a question, I'm still nowhere closer to solving this one and I have an 8+ hour drive coming up.

How do I reduce the volume of the navigation instructions? I've followed the advice to quickly turn the volume knob down during a voice instruction, but this only reduces the volume for that instruction. As soon as the next instruction comes along its back to the original volume.

Help! I have a two year old who I'm hoping will sleep most of the way! 2018 P400e AB LWB

For the facelift version I have, muting is done by clicking on the six boxes that overlay on the map, then choosing the 'mute' tile that appears on the next screen 2018 P400e AB LWB

I haven't tried this in the L405 but in my old D4 I had a similar problem. I found that by leaving the radio 'on' but set at zero volume it would keep the 'adjusted' sat nav volume low. However, if I tuned all audio off, the sat nav would reset to loud with every instruction.

This meant (for the same reason with twin babies in the back!) I could have zero music/radio plus low sat nav announcements.

Not sure if it's the same for the L405 but it might be worth a go. FFRR SDV8 Autobiography

Exactly what I do, yet the next spoken instruction is back to the original volume level.

I'm now wondering if there's not a minimum volume level you cannot go below? Maybe the volume level I am after is just not available. 2018 P400e AB LWB

Hi annual man, for what it’s worth. Mine is similar age.

To turn down sat nav volume, wait until there is a spoken instruction then quickly ( while voice is talking) turn to volume you want. There is a volume bar appears. When you adjust it on the Center screen. As I recall the sat nav volume has a green volume line when it pops up. ( the radio/audio has blue or purple colour as I recall)
Once you adjusted the sat nav to volume you want, from there on in, it will always speak to you at that level. Until you adjust again.

Sounds to me like you may have a software issue on your car, if not working as should maybe see how f LR dealer can check software up to date. ?
