United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Silicon Silver
Newbie L405

Owned my 2017 ATB SDV8 for 3-4 weeks now.
Love the car, not as quiet as I was expecting but I think its the Pirelli tyres.
Got a few issues to sort so will be sourcing some info from this forum.

One thing I would like to do is swap over the door trims from body colour code to the same colour as the silver trims. I think they'll stand out better.
Any ideas where to buy?

@V8Russ:

It’s a Marmite thing.

I much prefer the body colour gills as being more subtle myself, or maybe even Corris Grey with chrome strips a-la Aliexpress if you can find them, but yes go for whatever floats your boat, but keep your originals to give the next owner the choice. Thumbs Up “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

PS:

Pirelli tyres with PNCS should be among the quietest available (older Scorpions may not be PNCS, check the sidewalls).
Mine is on four newish 22” Verdes, and they are pretty quiet compared to my Ranger Wildtrak on similer AS tyres, admittedly on 18’s with big 60 sidewalls. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Definitely marmite - I went the other way - bought with Atlas silver & changed to body coloured.
With your colour it may be more subtle, but vs black I realy didn't like it.

It's great that we have choice & we all like different things - some people think a silver roof looks great - I hate them.....

@Kot:

There doesn’t seem much between them, other than Verdes are higher mileage, how do they compare price-wise? Both have PNCS now. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

I fitted Verdes because thats what it came with, no other reason:

Not much snow to play in these last few years, even up in chilly old Newcastle, I’d be happy with either at a good price, TBH. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

According to Pirelli themselves, ice/snow are the other way around, check the Pirelli website. Thumbs Up “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?
