how to open tailgate with dead battery

Wife's 2014 dead battery everything down. I have new battery but can't open tailgate to install?? Has anyone else had the is problem? Thanks in advance!

Undo the bonnet, (hood) connect 12v battery to the jump start posts and you should be able to open the electric boot (trunk) Thumbs Up Pete

Thanks Hay, that worked but put new battery in and still getting "low battery start engine" and "charging system fault". Battery shows 13 volts. Guess it goes to the dealer.

It should sort itself out in a couple of days or get a diagnostic unit on it and tell it it has a new battery. either should clear it.... Pete

My last 405 did this after a battery change - just keep driving it - the ecu will recognise the new battery in the end 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
