Restricted Performance (Amber) Warning, but! no power loss

Hi All, strange one for you all.

2011 TDV8, 70k miles has started throwing up an amber restricted performance warning upon engine restart over the last couple of days (incidentally with a small trailer attached but cant see how that could be related).

The car has has the new 4 silicone hoses and donut high pressure smoke test done 12 months ago, so I don't think that is the issue (after a red warning came up and limited to 2500rpm).

After I unplug the trailer (again I think this is coincidence) the warning goes and is gone for a few days.

I've checked where I can see for split hoses and all looks good, aging there is no actual loss in power/drivability.
Car does long runs so I believe the DPF is fine (never had a warning come up).

Any ideas?!

Time to finally invest in a GAP tool I think..........

Chris

Investment in an IID may help pinpoint cause, as it could be anything causing the restricted performance message (such as a faulty sensor).

Did you also check the union on the throttle body, as that seal fails too? 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Could be the water in fuel sensor going bad, I’ve started getting the same warning randomly lately and the fault code shows this is the issue. No noticeable loss of performance despite the warning. As all above have advised though, code reader is the way forward.
