TD6 crankcase valve

Hi

Yet another question, a few weeks ago i bought a crankcase breather valve from the dealers, decided to fit it and cant find where the Censored goes, i even have the old TD6 engine which i was stripping down to sell the bits.......cant even find it on there.

Could anyone tell me where it goes, do all TD6's have them??

Thanks

Bob

Remove the engine cover and air filter, the filter fits on near the top rear of the engine to the right of the air filter box

Thanks for the reply and the picture, i feel a bit embarrased now that i missed it.........to make things worse i missed it on 2 engines.

Will change it tommorow and let you know how dirty it was.

Changed the unit this morning, a very easy job.

The old one seemed very clean (no oily gunge), however the filter seemed very sticky and brittle.

Pleased i done it though.

No it's exactley the same as before i done it. I had the engine remapped last year and the difference to fuel economy and speed was amazing though

Mine dropped by @ 2 mpg with the new one after the old one failed and spurted oil all over the back of the FFRR Evil or Very Mad .

Right please don't shoot me down, but how the F**k do you get the engine cover off???

I've removed all the allen key bolts ( at least all the ones I can find), disconnected the air intake thingy and still it wont budge.

How many bolts are there (is there one hiding somewhere) and do you have to do a special shimmy to get the bloody thing off?? 2011 Range Rover TDV8 4.4 Vogue SE
