Hi All just an update. This was a red herring as it turns out to be the throttle control module (The flap that controls air into intake manifold) plastic gears in the box are destroyed. |

Interesting, how much was the throttle body and can I ask how many miles yours has done..? Pete

Have you been trying to clean it and manually pushed it open and closed ?

@haylands: The Throttle Body is around £200 off E-bay at the minute. Claim to be Genuine. Waiting for part to arrive before totally solved. The car is now on 118K Miles
