Boot & fuel filler buttons light

Is it normal that as soon as I switch off the engine the two buttons for fuel filler and boot release go dark? They still work but are tricky to see when they’re not illuminated. 2018 P400e AB LWB

i have stuck some white tape on my tailgate release switch..easy to see in that dark area. ... - .- -.
