I have this exact issue, I know the sim is good and I tied to tether an internet connect from my phone but cant log the car into live. When I had an oil change a couple of weeks ago I asked the dealer to look at it and I have a new SIM module on back order. First time FFRR owner |

I cant speak for the OP but I cant access the 'live' function when on home wifi or phone tether. Ive cleared what faults I can with the autel tool and made no difference First time FFRR owner |

Same issue just started a few days ago. LR say my data has run out. No way BUT put a new data sim in that works ok in my iPhone but nothing in the car. Navigation says issue at LR end. Browser says not authorised. |

Been digging a bit further and I think it needs a VSS (Vehicle Shared Secrets) reset, I get a cannot connect 015 code and this was common on Velars and needed a VSS reset by the dealer.

So I had same Navigation fault at LR end but this went on for months, as well as issues noted in my first post, no internet, no live apps etc. I was told VSS update will fix the issue, it did not. So the final fix was they replaced TCU module, but this is with JLR Engineering, Extended warranty people, Incontrol people and dealer techs all mixing the pot --it took 3 weeks Dealer techs had their hands tied, they had to follow Engineerings instructions to the letter even though we all thought it was the TCU from the start. I guess they were all worried whose budget the costs would come out from! The bill was several thousand pounds just for labour plus the cost of TCU and 3 weeks hire car so glad I renewed the warranty The girl on the desk showed me the work file and it was 50mm thick A4 sheets! All good now. Good Luck 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue |
