Panamera

I've traded the FF in against a Panamera...might live to regret it, but at the moment and loving my main car being fun to drive. It's as comfortable/refined at the RR when you slacken everything off, perhaps even a bit better over some surfaces.

Not quite the kitchen sink spec I'm used to, but has the important (to me) options such as full leather, panoramic roof, cooled seats, HUD, surround view, adaptive cruise, keyless, Burmester Hifi (big improvement over Meridian surround) four zone climate etc etc as well as the things I'd want that on a Panamera such as rear axle steering, Innodrive, Sport Design pack, sports exhaust and a couple of other things.

Clearly not as much space, but with my eldest driving now I don't need it.

I won't post loads of pictures as this is a RR forum....!

If you insist…. Laughing

All black which won’t suit everyone but I like it and it’s got a lovely (optional of course) clock.

Shortcut buttons, proper climate controls, an integrated screen and analogue rev counter in the centre of the dials…..lovely.

Well that is very smart, and a very nice place to be can't see you being bored with that any time soon. Comes with the standard Porsche reliability as well. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Thank you. I can’t see it either.

My 2018 L405 was completely fault free in 3 years / 40k miles, so it’s got a hard act to follow. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

I like the Panamera, it’s unique and has been in production for longer than I expected.

Hi,

if you get chance to do their experience day at Silverstone I can strongly recommend it Whistle

and it does seem that once you have had a Porsche you end up having another

Thumbs Up

That’s nice Andy. I drove a Macan GTS back to back with the Panamera, wasn’t the best car for me, but am seriously considering getting one for my wife. If I ordered now we could have it in October… MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Thanks Martin. That timeline for ordering/provision has shortened a lot. About a year ago they were quoting 18 months from point of order for the GTS variant. The wiring loom is made in Ukraine and various other parts (chips mainly) were in short supply. I found the dealer experience from Porsche quite a significant step up from JLR Very Happy SDV8 AB MY 2019

My local dealer has 2 x slots (spec amendable) for September production and another for October.

He didn’t say why, either extra allocations or cancellations. Based on the current APR, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the reason!

They’re getting even more pricy with the latest increase, my wife specced one up and got to £90k OTR, taking Burmester off and replacing with Bose took that down to £87k, but it’s still a lot of cash for a small SUV. What she really wants is a Boxster GTS 4.0, but not sure that would work for us as a second car. I know the answer is to run 3 cars! MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Prices seem crazy at the moment, supply and demand I suppose. Mine was worth around 18k more than I paid for it as soon as I drove it out of the showroom last year! Shocked SDV8 AB MY 2019

I test drove a Taycan today and think it may be the EV that I add to the fleet, love the linear power.
Have been overjoyed with the 992. letters not necessarily in the right order
