United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Hello all!
Have used this site a few times in my quest to keep my 2006 RR Supercharged going!
Wanted to get abit more involved and possibly even give something back from my various ‘attempts’ at repairs!
I have almost zero mechanical experience but am learning all the time! And getting a certain satisfaction from ‘wrenching’ as they say here in the US.

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Siberian Silver

Hey folks - recently new owner of 10yr old L405. Mechanically it seems to be in very nice condition. However, electrical gremlins seem to now be raising their heads!

Hi all

Had a Disco2 a few years back and a Freelander 1 as my wife's car until recently but never owned a Range Rover. Looking at a 3.6TDV8 or 4.4TDV8 but in no hurry. I've been lurking for a while and finally bit the bullet and signed up today.

I have seen lots of great advice here so far and will try to search previous posts rather than ask the same stuff that always gets asked. Hope to join the fleet soon!

Glad to have found this full fat specific forum!!! Forums are SO much better than FB groups! Excited to be here!

Definitely prefer a forum to an FB page!

I'm Scott and after a few Series, Defenders, and Discos, I picked up my first Range Rover about six weeks ago:

Loving it so far, probably up until its first ride home on a big yellow taxi...

France 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black
Let me introduce myself

Hello all,
I'm from France and I'm poud to show my "new" L322 2010 TDV8 3.6.
I had before during 10 years a P38 HSE 4.0 and I'm mad of these cars.
I'm doing a lot of things by myself on my cars (including an MGB) and unfortunately there is not a really good forum L322 dedicated in France.
I know I have to improve my English but it will be a daily pleasure for me.
Thanks to all for your help!
Kind regards
JCM

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Aintree Green

Keep forgetting to introduce myself. I have got a 2013 VSE SDV8 in Aintree Green. I’ve had for just over a year now and has been great. I have done a few mods since I have had it, swapped the AC panel for the newer version with seat heat/cooling integrated into the dials. A facelift front grille and also fitted a great walnut boot floor which slides out which is very handy and smart.
I found it being under advertised at a car supermarket very poorly prepped. The sunroof blind wouldn’t retract fully, Center section of rear bumper was hanging off, the wing mirror joystick was faulty and most of the great extra spec options fitted hadn’t been listed.
The perfect score MOT history and full landrover history had also been missed out so had been languishing on Autotrader for awhile getting cheaper all the time.
A 10min fix on the roof blind and new mirror switch pack and bumper section and all was good. Got it sent to be ceramic coated and looks much more loved now.

Poland

Hi everyone.
Since 2007 Disco3, then L322 3.0, 3.6 and 4.4TDV8, now for a few years L405 AB TDV8. LR cars are a great comfort and driving pleasure, unfortunately also technical problems. I still do not know whether more pleasure or trouble?

Netherlands 2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

Hi there!

Since March 2023 I’m the proud owner of a 2002 L322 Vogue with the BMW V8 petrol engine. It has driven about 274,000 kilometers. The full fat has been my dream car for a long time (probably since Clarkson showed the L322 on Top Gear way back). Since road taxes are very high here in the Netherlands, especially for diesels, I wanted a petrol version. And the sound of that V8 is simply lovely.

I got the car relatively cheaply, it was probably the cheapest one available in the Netherlands at the time I bought it. It’s our second car, our other one is a nice reliable Honda CR-V third gen. Planning on doing maintenance and repairs myself as much as possible, I’ve already found RAVE, the forums and YouTube very helpful!

Since March I’ve already done quite a few things:
- Inner and outer tie rods replaced
- Front lower and upper suspension arms and bushings replaced (horrible to get loose after so many years!)
- Rear upper and lower hub ball joints replaced
- Repaired sunvisor holder, replaced window washer fluid pump, replaced rear windshield wiper arm, replaced bonnet release cables as they broke and had to open hood through the grille…

Also had done a few things:
- Had engine and all diffs’ oil replaced. Had transmission flushed.
- Had aircon refilled as it wasn’t working, included UV so we can find leaks in a few weeks
- Had rear propshaft replaced as it was clunking and too much play. Sourced aftermarket part as the original costs way more!

In a few weeks planning to flush coolant and replace thermostat. Replace brake pads and rotors (and do some parking brake maintenance) and flush brake system. And later replace PCV valve, replace valve cover gaskets, etc. to hopefully solve the oil seepage the engine has.

And looking for a welder that can help me with rust issues at the well known spots on both sides behind the sills.

In the meantime, enjoying driving the car a lot as well, most comfortable car I’ve ever driven and traffic jams are a breeze with the high sitting position!

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Hi all, after much searching I bought this 2012 L322 Westminster last week.
Very pleased with it and enjoying the ride and power.
Have plenty of Land Rover experience but this is my first FF.
There are a few little jobs to do but nothing major, or at least not yet!
