In my L322, when using the navigation, by whatever method, it knew when there was heavy traffic ahead, up came a warning on the screen with an option to reroute. Which was jolly handy.

On my L405, I get no such warnings. And end up sitting in traffic.

Is this an option I can enable, or can be enabled? Or do I maybe need to have an internet-enabled SIM card in it for this? I didn't on the old one - not sure how it knew. Witchcraft perhaps. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography in black

SIM card required as far as I’m aware. I have one that doesn’t allow roaming, and the system gave me an indication i wouldn’t get traffic info as soon as I left the country. 2018 P400e AB LWB

Assuming yours has the InControl Touch Pro (10 inch touchscreen) then to get traffic updates you need both a data SIM and a valid map subscription.

With a map subscription you get monthly updates, for which you need a 64GB USB stick - a fast internet connection is useful the updates are around 36GB each.

Would have used TMC (Traffic Message Channel), which had a separate receiver module.
