You can charge on petrol.

So essentially you’re saying when you’re not in save mode and you’re running the engine the battery should also charge? I did a 2000km trip recently and after the first 30km the battery went to zero and stayed that way. 2018 P400e AB LWB |

It depends on many variables. If you turn onto the highway and drive 600km's at high speed with almost now braking then it does not charge at all, since all power is diverted to the wheels directly.

I never tried, since its useless. With kwh at 20cnts on my present contract and 5 cnts from my solar cells, I avoid charging on fuel.
