That a big quote but perhaps includes fabricating the repair panels? My lad had both rear arches, sills and a cracked rear bumper repaired using the ebay panels and paid £2100 inc vat so it may be worth getting quotes from several bodyshops first before committing |

Or you could do what I did and watched eBay for any FullFats getting scrapped that still had decent sills.

My 2004 TD6, before and after, nowhere near a grand, welded one sill myself, then had both arches cut out and fepairs welded in, and other sill fixed...

I just had a quote back from one other restorer, all in both sills sills/arches, paint work at £2750.

I managed to get both rear jack points and sills done for £650! unfortunately the old boy who did them is retiring this month, had been quoted £1000 per side elsewhere. The rear quarter itself is available at quite a reasonable price from several retailers, shouldn't cost more than £80 each ex VAT.Al in all you should be looking at less than £1000 all in, but you have to shop around. |
