I'm going to look at a 2006 MY RR tomorrow (full facelift version) HPI said it was first registered 05/05

Were any actually made as early as this, or is something no right about it.... I just thought it seemed very early for a 2006 MY.

Mine was registered Jul 05.

06 facelift with touch screen, Jaguar petrol engine and 6 speed box - BMW era interior though.

Not sure when the first were registered though.

yes it is, the very very early 06 models were on an 05 plate, most were registered on 06 / 56 plates though I have seen one or two on an 07 plate when the TDV8 was already out - older dealer stock perhaps

i have just checked my log book now that i am home, my actual date of registration is 25/05/05.

must have been one of the early ones as stated.

correct me if i am wrong, but this is where the madness of road tax comes in!!

if your FF is a 05/55 reg it is £260 per year

if it is a 06/07 reg, exactly the same car, with same emissions etc etc, it would be £460 per year.

Yep the same as mine. I nice surprise when I bought my SC. Need the cheaper road tax so I can afford to make it go!  Ex FFRR 4.2 Supercharged
