Blower failed - DTC code B12FE-13 (28) FAN

Good morning all,

The main blower has not worked on my 2012 TDV8 since buying it 6 months ago. I have replaced the FSR but this did not fix the problem.

I have checked for codes previously on the GAP tool and until yesterday no code for the fan.

I now have code B12FE-13 (28 Fan - General electrical failure - circuit open. I have searched and can see B12 relates to Fan, but which one? And can anyone advise what the rest of the code relates to ie FE-13 (28?

I want to make sure this code is confirming the main blower under the centre of the dash has failed before I go about replacing it.

Many thanks

I believe this fault refers to the fan on the infotainment, not the cabin fan.

That said, it is know for the cabin fan to need replacement either due to blown bearings, or due to wearing out. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

That’s very helpful Gary, looks like I will be replacing two fans!

I am sure there is a good reason, but strange the failure of the main HVAC fan/ blower doesn’t give a code when it fails. Kevin

Both the infotainment screen fan and cabin fan are dash out jobs (because there's 2 screws holding the screen in which, in their infinite wisdom, Land Rover hid with the dash).
