***Now postponed to try and generate better attendance***

Noting how few meet-ups there seem to be and a distinct lack of in-person FFRR chat, I’ve taken it upon myself to organise an impromptu meet-up for 15 June at 7pm. I don’t know anyone else on the forum other than interactions in various threads so I would really enjoy getting a chance to meet up with anyone else in the area for some car chat.

I propose to meet at the Highwayman Inn on the A417 between Cirencester and Gloucester (GL53 9PH). You can access it from both carriageways so easy to get to access whichever way you come from. I’ve never been there, but it seems to be alright on the pictures and has a big car park, in the event that forum members in the area decide to be more sociable that I might realise.

To make things simple and to just get something in the diary, I propose to meet up for some light refreshment and car chat with anyone else who wants to join. I’ll be there from 7pm for a couple of hours so, hopefully see some of you there too!

Great idea! We started this in Hampshire last year and it was a great success. Took a few to get going then it was popular. Our first one of 2023 is tonight

That's not far out of the way of my commute to our Glos. office. I'll attend if I'm am there on the 1st and assuming it goes ahead.

I drive along this road every Thursday night on my way home after working in Gloucester. However, on the week of the 1st June I'm currently scheduled to be working out of a different office. If anything changes and I end up being in Gloucester for whatever reason, I shall definitely pop by. Kev

Thats local to me also, but but about on the 1st June. Im on the Range Rover Experience at Easton the following day and making a week-end away of it.......but like some of the other comments may be able to meet up on any future dates. Good luck on the 1st - I hope it goes ahead and well attended.

OK, so the only 3 people to rely to this did so to say they can’t make it on 1st June. I’ll give it till 9pm on Tue 30th May for any interested members to confirm attendance and if no interest then I’ll look to postpone for a week or two allowing those that did respond to hopefully attend! 👍 Andy

As mentioned, there’s been no confirmed attendees but thanks to those who replied to say they are interested but the proposed date didn’t work well. To try and make this more than just me, I propose postponing till 15 Jun to hopefully allow interested members to attend.

If you intend to come, please do mention in the thread so I can decide whether or not to go ahead with the new date.

Turns out I couldn't have made it after all, but I'm still keen.

I myself am no longer able to make 15 June due to a new commitment that’s just cropped up. No reason this can’t still go ahead without me. However, only 1 person has expressed an interest for this date so it seems best to just postpone for now.

It’s not my forum however, so anyone take take the reins should you wish! 👍 Andy
